NetDragon Announces 2011 Second Quarter and Interim Results

NetDragon Websoft Inc. (“NetDragon”; Stock Code: 777), a leading developer and operator of online games and mobile Internet applications in China, today announced its unaudited interim financial results for the period ended June 30, 2011. Additionally, a management conference call and live webcast is scheduled at 7:00 PM Hong Kong time, August 25, 2011 to review financial results and recent business developments.

Second Quarter 2011 Financial and Operational Highlights

Net Revenue was RMB184.3 million, an increase of 17.6 % over the first quarter of 2011 (“QoQ”), and an increase of 53.4% over the second quarter of 2010 (“YoY”)
Revenue from Online Games was RMB174.9 million, an increase of 16.1% QoQ and an increase of 45.6% YoY
Revenue from Mobile Internet was RMB9.4 million, an increase of 54.8% QoQ and an increase of 2,250% YoY

NetDragon & EA announced Dungeon Keeper OL to be opened in Q4

Chinese game developer NetDragon Websoft and U.S. digital game maker Electronic Arts (EA) recently announced that their Dungeon Keeper OL will start a third close beta test on August 17 and will be opened for test in 2011Q4.

Dungeon Keeper OL is a 3D MMORPG developed by NetDragon and EA. The game is based on Bullfrogs Studio’s Dungeon Keeper TM, including themes, characters and other game content.

NetDragon had won exclusive rights to license and operate Dungeon Keeper Online in 2008. After three years’ developing, Dungeon Keeper OL is almost finished and has made a breakthrough in game mode, game world and game culture.

Dungeon Keeper OL is a double mode online game with simple operation requirements. Players can easily learn how to play the game without learning complex guiding.

NetDragon 2011 mobile revenue to reach 10 million yuan, more focus on Android

Zeming Hu, NetDragon’s CFO and Boyuan’s CEO, said recently that NetDragon’s mobile revenue of 2011 will reach 10 million yuan.

Hu also revealed the Android operation data for the first time, and that NetDragon is planning to establish an Android operation team in Beijing, increasing its investment in Android Market.

NetDragon’s mobile business started in 2007, and then the 91 Mobile Business Departments and the Hiapk.com were established. NetDragon combined the two into “Boyuan” this April.

Hu pointed out that Boyuan is in a leading position in distribution business of iOS and Android thanks to 91 and Hiapk. He also predicted that NetDragon’s mobile revenue of 2011 would reach 10 million yuan and they were planning an IPO next year.

Hu believed that Android will be the largest mobile operating system and NetDragon must seize the opportunity.

NetDragon’s Dungeon Keeper Online Releases 2 Factions and 6 Classes Today

NetDragon has updated its big RPG&RTS title so frequently these days, since the up&underground world mode exposed few days ago, today the game formally releases two factions and six classes. Judging from the frequent repoerts, may be the launch date in near.The game mainly offers two basic classes, fighter and mage, and there are 3 advanced classes for each basic class. So in all, there are totally 6 kinds of class, tank, dpser, controller, anti-controller and healer. And don’t worry about the constant class with some are welcomed while the rest are ignored, especially in raids. The 6 classes can be transfered to each other because they are actually formed by 6 talent trees. That means if you want to play a tank from a healer, you just re-customize your talent tree, something like that.

NetDragon Revamps Its Dungeon Keeper Title Today

The name of cooperative developed 3D RTS MMO title the World of Dungeon Keeper by NetDragon and EA will be no more, NetDragon, the game’s developer and agent today revamps the game’s original name to a new one, “Dungeon Keeper Online”. It seems the “world” is not appropriate any more.

The Transformers Online is expected to begins its first closed beta test in early August

LinXin, the vice president of NetDragon recently during the interview disclosed that the The Transformers Online will published at the time of the film released (In China).NetDragon and Hasbro reached an agreement in July 2010 allowing NetDragon to use the brand of Transformers to develop same name game. NetDragon have already collaborate with Ubi Soft ,Walt Disney and other big companies and rolled out some online games such as, Heroes of Might and Magic Online ,Dream Disney and EA authorized game Ultimo Online is under development.

NetDragon Websoft Inc.
